SDR Team Lead

Atakama is seeking an entrepreneurial, goal-oriented Sales Development Team Lead who will have a significant impact on our growth.  This is a player-coach role that will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to build a world class inside sales business development team. 

Role

As an Atakama Sales Development Team Lead, you will report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer. You will be responsible for building a team that engages with prospects, qualifies all leads, and helps to initiate the sales cycle for the Sales Executives who will ultimately close deals. This is a mid-level position with significant opportunities for growth, Atakama has a strong track record of internal progression and promotions. Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the sales development team and create daily accountability for reps
  • Initially you will be a player/coach, individually contributing to our lead generation targets while also managing the team
  • Recruit, hire and train best-in-class SDRs
  • Continuously manage the performance and development of the SDR team through proper coaching, development, motivation, goal setting and general direction.
  • Develop and improve sales enablement tools including drafting scripts, testing, messaging and documenting templates and processes
  • Qualify and drive inbound and outbound sales leads working closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to understand how to effectively generate those leads
  • Have a deep understanding of the needs of our MSP prospects with the ability to provide solutions based on our value proposition which you also have a solid understanding of
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly lead and revenue targets

Critical Skills/Abilities:

2-5 years of working experience in a sales/business development position

  • Demonstrated and consistent outperformance of sales targets
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely motivated and driven individual
  • Thrive in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce, Hubspot, and other Sales Enablement technologies
  • Familiarity with the cybersecurity industry a plus
  • Experience selling into MSPs is desired, but not required

Nuts-and-bolts

This is a fully remote position. For those who prefer an office environment, you may work from our midtown New York City office. Candidates must be fully authorized to work in the U.S.
