Sales Development Team Lead

Atakama is seeking an entrepreneurial, goal-orientated Sales Development Team Lead who will have a significant impact on our growth. This is a player-coach role that will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to build a world class inside sales business development team.


As an Atakama Sales Development Team Lead, you will report directly to our Head of Sales. You will be responsible for building a team that engages with prospects, qualifies all leads and helps to initiate the sales cycle for the Sales Executives who will ultimately close deals. This is a mid-level position with significant opportunities for growth, Atakama has a strong track record of internal progression and promotions. The position involves management as well as heavy interaction with potential clients, calling for excellent communication skills and service-oriented abilities. Essential Qualifications

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the sales development team and create daily accountability for reps
  • Initially you will be a player/coach, individually contributing to our lead generation targets while also managing the team
  • Recruit, hire and train best-in-class SDRs
  • Continuously manage the performance and development of the SDR team through proper coaching, development, motivation, goal setting and general direction
  • Develop and improve sales enablement tools including drafting scripts, testing, messaging and documenting templates and processes
  • Qualify and drive inbound and outbound sales leads working closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to understand how to effectively generate those leads
  • Have a deep understanding of the needs of our prospects with the ability to provide solutions based on our value proposition which you also have a solid understanding of
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly lead and revenue targets

  • Experience selling cybersecurity software or knowledge of cybersecurity industry
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Experience in building out and managing a successful team


This is currently a fully remote position that will follow a hybrid WFH model post Covid. Candidates must be fully authorized to work in the U.S.
